Bad Faith Litigation

An insurance company, whether it provides health, car, house, fire, or disaster insurance, may act in "bad faith" when it does not honor the terms of the agreement. An insurance company may deny payment of a policy for no good reason, or delay payment of a claim, or give a claimant "the runaround." Bad faith litigation may involve a group of individuals (a class action) or a single claimant. Class action and individual claims can seek a legal and monetary remedy against their insurer's bad faith conduct. A simple negotiation by a bad faith attorney may resolve the issue, or litigation may be required.
